No less than 741 daily reports with approximately 5,795 pages have been analyzed for this edition. Some 70 reports are missing. The digital facsimiles can be searched both in full text and by using an index of names and subjects. In all, the database provides information about 16,000 men and women either arrested or being kept under surveillance by the Gestapo. The contents of this database can be searched separately or in combination with the contents of the National Socialism, Holocaust, Resistance and Exile 1933 – 1945 database.

For this database fundamental primary sources on the National Socialist state and the NSDAP, Nazi ideology and propaganda, National Socialist justice and legislation, on resistance and persecution, and annihilation and expulsion in the "Third Reich" have been compiled and digitized.

Hitler’s written legacy as contained in the database represents a unique source for studying Hitler’s world-view and his political ambitions. The most important resource for the database is the edition published by the Institute of Contemporary History (IFZ) titled “Hitler – Speeches, Writings, Proclamations” (1925–33). It focuses on Hitler’s speeches, by far the most effective propaganda tools for the National Socialist movement up to 1933. The edition is based on many years of research as well as a thorough evaluation of the news coverage of Hitler’s appearances as a speaker. In addition, the database contains the more than 1,700 documents from the Max Domarus edition (1932–1945) that first appeared in 1965. These documents are incorporated into a commentary that provides a chronology of events and historical background information as well as the author’s interpretations of Hitler’s political utterances. The source collection is supplemented by documentation of Hitler’s trial for high treason in 1924.

These two newsletters published fortnightly by the ITF (i.e. Internationale Transportarbeiter Foederation) between 1933 and 1945. Based on analyses of other newspapers of the day, the editorial policy was to give information about social policy as well as reports from cadres working under cover. In this way it provides a unique insight into life under fascist regimes, focusing in particular on the working-class movement, organised labour and the growth of trade unions. In fact, it seems from the volume numeration introduced in 1936, that the editors came to view the two newsletters as as one, but with a title change, as hinted at on p.1 of the first issue of Fascism: It is more than a year ago since the first number of 'Germany under the Swastika' appeared, a publication in which we tried to show in a matter-of-fact manner the great contrasts between the promises and the deeds of the Hitler regime in Germany. There has been ample evidence that this publication was keenly appreciated both by the unions affiliated to the I.T.F. and far beyond on account of its contents, tendency and reliability. "That 'Germany under the Swastika' is to appear no more is not because there was no need for it. The opposite is the case unfortunately. Since its first appearance the number of countries where Fascism has risen to power, and then robbed the working classes of their rights and liberties, has increased by three, while in other countries Fascist influence has grown considerably.

Germanische Altertumskunde Online (GAO) provides a unique Online Reference representing the current state of knowledge of Old Germanic History, which includes Germanic and Northern European cultural history from the subject areas of history, archaeology, art history, legal history, ethnology, and religious studies. This Online Reference Work contains the complete data of the Reallexikon der Germanischen Altertumskunde, as well as new and revised articles; furthermore, all volumes of the RGA-E series (the supplementary volumes to the "Reallexikon"; currently more than 90), several journal articles, and single books.

The database The Diaries of Joseph Goebbels Online contains transcriptions of all handwritten documents from 1923 to July 1941, as well as subsequent writings that were dictated up to 1945.

The research database Vossische Zeitung Online, 1918–1934 contains approximately 10,500 issues of the oldest and most renowned Berlin daily newspaper, with a total of some 127,000 full text pages.
