Brill: Dictionary of Renaissance Latin from Prose Sources Online

This month, Brill launches the online edition of Hoven's Dictionary of Renaissance Latin from Prose Sources. As the first dictionary of Renaissance Latin, the online version provides translations in English and French for approximately 11,000 entries. These entries cover the vocabulary of over 230 Latin prose authors from different regional backgrounds who wrote between c. 1300 and 1600. The Dictionary therefore offers a standard tool not only for latinists and neo-latinists, but also for historians, philosophers, theologians, historians of law, and intellectual historians working in the fields of humanism, the renaissance, the reformation and counter-reformation.

In 2015, the Dictionary of Renaissance Latin from Prose Sources Online is available for a calendar-year subscription price of EUR 1,200. This price may be pro-rated for the remainder of 2015, or the remainder of 2015 + all of 2016.
