Jacoby Online is a digital edition of fragments and testimonia of Greek historians, and other authors from antiquity. Although the works of these historians are now lost, we still have passages in the form of citations and paraphrases in ancient texts that are preserved.

Jacoby Online is anchored in the work of Felix Jacoby, who started the work of collecting fragments and writing commentaries. To his Die Fragmente der Griechischen Historiker I-III (1923-1959) are added two new editions, Brill's New Jacoby (2006-2021) and Brill's New Jacoby - Second Edition (2016-), both edited by Ian Worthington.

Felix Jacoby himself was unable to finish the collection, but in the 1990s, the work on Die Fragmente der Griechischen Historiker resumed, resulting in FGrHist Part IV, currently edited by Stefan Schorn, and FGrHist Part V, currently edited by Hans-Joachim Gehrke and Felix Maier.

This collection includes the first 36 volumes of the series Papyrologica Lugduno-Batava (1941-2018). It contains publications of papyrological, mainly documentary texts, as well as articles and monographs, on the themes of law and society in Ancient Egypt, in particular in the Graeco-Roman period. The focus of the series lies on the Greek and Demotic sources, however attention is also given to documents in Hieratic, Coptic and Latin. The series is a publication of the Foundation for the Papyrological Institute of the University of Leiden. The aim of the Foundation is the promotion of the study of Greek and Demotic papyrology in Leiden. All publications in this series are peer reviewed.

The Codices Vossiani Graeci et Miscellanei Online publishes the 174 manuscripts in Greek, and the 42 manuscripts containing both Latin and Greek, from the world-famous Isaac Vossius manuscript collection at Leiden University Library. Isaac Vossius (1618-1689) was a classical philologist and collector of manuscripts, maps, atlases and printed works; he had a particular interest in Greek manuscripts; his first publication was an edition of a Greek manuscript, and he taught Greek to Queen Christina I of Sweden during his time working at her court.

The recovery of the oldest available text of the New Testament continues to occupy the attention of biblical scholars. Because the early printed editions were based on late and incorrect texts, scholars had to study the materials to find older forms of the text. We now know that to study the text of the New Testament and to recover the oldest forms of it, scholars have available over 5,500 Greek manuscripts, translations into early languages, including especially important ones in Syriac, Latin, and Coptic, and quotations in early Christian writers. The task of examining these witnesses, and collecting from them the relevant data, has occupied scholars for over three hundred years.

The Encyclopedia of Ancient Greek Language and Linguistics (EAGLL) is a unique work that brings together the latest research from across a range of disciplines which contribute to our knowledge of Ancient Greek. It is an indispensable research tool for scholars and students of Greek, of linguistics, and of other Indo-European languages, as well as of Biblical literature. The EAGLL offers a systematic and comprehensive treatment of all aspects of the history and study of Ancient Greek, comprising detailed descriptions of the language from Proto-Greek to koine. It addresses linguistic aspects from several perspectives including history, structure, individual singularities, biographical references, schools of thought, technical meta-language, sociolinguistic issues, dialects, didactics, translation practices, generic issues, Greek in relation to other languages, etc., and on all levels of analysis including phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, lexicon, semantics, stylistics, etc. It also includes all the necessary background information regarding the roots of Greek in Indo-European. As and when, excursions may be made to later stages of the language, e.g. Byzantine or even later. The focus, however, will predominantly be Ancient Greek. With well over 500 entries on all aspects of Ancient Greek, this new encyclopedia aspires to become a basic research tool and the recognized reference work on the subject.

Gregory of Nyssa Online gives you access to both the Gregorii Nysseni Opera Online and the Lexicon Gregorianum Online. Together, these two resources provide the ultimate online critical text edition of Gregory of Nyssa's works based on all available known manuscripts. Gregory of Nyssa Online is introduced with a complete discussion of the textual transmission and accompanied by indices, extensive annotations on biblical, classical and patristic sources, and the most comprehensive Greek–German dictionary ever produced of the language used by Gregory of Nyssa (the Lexicon Gregorianum).

The Indo-European Etymological Dictionaries Online (IEDO) reconstructs the lexicon for the most important languages and language branches of Indo-European. It is a rich and voluminous online reference source for historical and general linguists. Dictionaries can be cross-searched, with an advance search for each individual dictionary enabling the user to perform more complex research queries. Each entry is accompanied by grammatical info, meaning(s), etymological commentary, reconstructions, cognates and often extensive bibliographical information. Content will be updated and added on a regular basis.

Grammarians of antiquity taught and practiced philology, text criticism and rhetoric, essential skills in the education, career and public life of ancient Greeks and Romans. Brill’s Lexicon of Greek Grammarians of Antiquity (LGGA) serves as the first point of reference for information on these ancient grammarians for scholars of Greek and Latin antiquity, in particular for research into the history of philology, grammar and ancient scholarship.

The result of more than three decades of dedicated scholarly research by the Forschungsstelle Gregor von Nyssa (Münster), the Lexicon Gregorianum constitutes the most comprehensive Greek-German dictionary ever of the language used by Gregory of Nyssa. It is, and will be for the foreseeable future, the only dictionary available specifically addressing the vocabulary of late Classical Greek.

Supplementum Epigraphicum Graecum (SEG) is an annual publication collecting newly published Greek inscriptions and studies on previously known documents. Material later than the 8th century A.D. is not included. Supplementum Epigraphicum Graecum presents complete Greek texts of all new inscriptions with a critical apparatus; it summarizes new readings, interpretations and studies of known inscriptions, and occasionally presents the Greek text of these documents. Inscriptions are listed by their provenance, e.g. Dodona or Abdera.

The Brill Dictionary of Ancient Greek is the English translation of Franco Montanari’s Vocabolario della Lingua Greca.
